About the Item

An elegant set of 6 chairs designed by Gaetano and Alessandro Besana in the 1960s, a refined example of the finest Italian design of that period. Characterized by a light and slender silhouette, these chairs combine aesthetic design, comfort, and quality craftsmanship in a design that remains extremely contemporary. The dark wood frame, with its tapered lines, supports a seat and backrest that are padded and upholstered in burgundy-red faux leather, creating a pleasing color contrast that highlights the simple yet dynamic design of the piece. The distinctive sloping design of the side pillars gives the model its unique character and makes it instantly recognizable. Perfect for complementing a modernist dining table, but also as distinctive seating in contemporary settings, professional offices, or spaces dedicated to 20th-century design. Good overall state of preservation. Solid, stable structures, with normal signs of wear and tear consistent with the chairs' age. Well-preserved finishes.
