We delighted to offer for sale this exceptional set of six French oak with Embossed pressed brown leather upholstered Henry II circa 1880 dining chairs with crocodile leather embossed seat pads A very rare and totally original set of Victorian dining chairs. They have the original upholstery which has been embossed with lovely detail to the back and base. The studs are sublime, oversized In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished them from top to bottom, there are good honest signs of patina all over from century’s of use, structurally they are sound, the leather to the outside back is worn in places As mentioned the leather is original, it has a lovely patination to it all over We have cleaned waxed and polished the set, they are structurally sound Dimensions: Height 95cm Width 42cm Depth 48cm Seat height 45.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouse Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
