About the Item

Sesann living room set designed by Gianfranco Frattini and produced by Cassina in 1972. The set is composed of a three-seater sofa and two matching armchairs. It features a distinctive external chrome tubular structure that embraces the upholstered volumes, creating a sophisticated contrast between industrial precision and soft organic forms. This characteristic structural cage is one of the defining elements of the Sesann collection and reflects Frattini’s refined approach to furniture design. Introduced by Cassina in the early 1970s, the Sesann system included armchairs, sofas, and coffee tables, representing one of the most elegant interpretations of Italian upholstered furniture of the period. The design combines generous proportions with exceptional comfort, while maintaining a strong architectural presence. The exposed chrome frame defines the silhouette of the seating elements and visually separates structure from upholstery, a concept that became one of the hallmarks of the collection. This set has been fully restored in Italy by our workshop and newly upholstered in high-quality alpaca velvet, made in Italy. The upholstery has been carefully executed to respect the original proportions and character of the design, while the internal padding has been inspected and serviced to ensure comfort and structural integrity. Each element has been individually inspected and carefully serviced to ensure the highest possible standards of quality, comfort, and durability. Upon request, restoration, reupholstery, or customization services can be discussed to adapt the set to specific interior or project needs.
