About the Item

This is a beautiful lounge chair by Minton-Spidell featuring a sculptural distressed wood frame with dramatic scroll arms and stretcher base. Upholstered in richly colored floral tapestry fabric in excellent condition, with generous down-filled cushions for exceptional comfort. The chair blends rustic European and Rococo Revival influences with an understated aged finish that gives it a warm, collected character. Finished with nailhead trim throughout. A highly decorative and comfortable statement chair with substantial presence. The fabric is in excellent condition with no imperfections to be noted. The frame is solid and shows only minor wear consistent with age and use, particularly along the arms.
