About the Item

A masterclass in late Danish Art Deco / early Scandinavian Modern design, these chairs feature the period’s most desirable detail: a continuous, sculptural sweep of solid wood that flows elegantly from the top of the backrest, around the generous armrests and down to the floor. This architectural yet sensuous gesture gives the chairs their distinctive character and timeless appeal. The design includes a high, softly winged back, deeply cushioned seat and back, rounded corners and clean block feet — all hallmarks of high-quality Danish cabinetmaking from the era. The chairs have been newly and professionally reupholstered in a luxurious ivory bouclé that perfectly complements the warm, honey-toned wood. Pairs of this quality, scale and completeness — with matching frames and fresh, high-demand upholstery — are increasingly sought after by interior designers and serious collectors alike. These chairs work beautifully in both strict modernist interiors and warmer, more layered settings.
