Offering One Of Our Recent Palm Beach Estate Fine Furniture Acquisitions Of A Vintage Barcalounger Saddle Leather Recliner with Continuous Lumbar Support Design Features: Silhouette: Features distinctive built-in lumbar support that moves with your back as you recline, providing continuous lumbar support no matter what position the chair is in, deeply padded pillow-topped rolled arms with an elegant kneed-back profile. Trim Details: Accented with traditional brass nailhead trim running along the front arm panels and the extended footrest. Upholstery: Covered in a rich, distressed top-grain leather finish, highly consistent with Barcalounger's classic "Chaps Saddle" or "Rustic Bourbon" colorways. Mechanism: Operates as a manual push-back. The Barcalounger Company is the oldest manufacturer of reclining chairs in the United States, originally founded by Edward J. Barcalo in 1896 as the Barcalo Manufacturing Company. Like this chair, their older model recliners were made in North Carolina and known for their high-quality leather and frame construction that lasts a lifetime+. Their newer chairs are now imported from Asia and are not the same quality as the older chairs. Approximate Measurements in Inches 37" high at back 45" wide 44" deep (back to front) 19" high at seat 21" deep x 23" wide inside seat 27" high at arms Condition Report In good, structurally sound, and sturdy condition with no smells. Recline mechanism works perfectly. There is a small repair on the back trim edge, and a small imperfection on the front arm as shown in the last 2 photos and video.
