The Sedi Pouf is upholstered in Kutnia Crafted Fabrics, a handwoven silk textile originating from southeastern Turkey. This traditional weaving technique gives the surface its distinctive striped character, where subtle variations in tone and texture create a dynamic interplay across the piece. The tactile richness of the silk, combined with the precise upholstery, elevates the pouf into a collectible design object. Designed by Ruya Akyol Studio, the piece reflects the studio’s approach to contemporary furniture, where soft geometries, cultural references, and material sensitivity come together.
