About the Item

This pair of mid-twentieth century French Louis XVI style painted side chairs features hand carved rosettes at the die joints and a scrolling lyre seat back finished with rosettes. The seats rest on tapered cable fluted legs and are upholstered in blue mohair with nail head trim. An elegant pair, circa 1940.
