An exceptional Brazilian Mid-Century Modern sofa produced by Liceu de Artes e Ofícios in the 1960s. Expertly crafted from solid wood, this piece exemplifies the institution’s renowned woodworking tradition, combining architectural elegance with superb craftsmanship. The sofa features a clean, rectilinear frame softened by refined joinery and beautifully sculpted details. The rich wood grain and warm natural patina showcase the exceptional quality of the materials and craftsmanship associated with the golden era of Brazilian modern design. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in natural cotton canvas, providing a timeless aesthetic that complements the warmth of the wood while emphasizing the honest, functional character of the design.
