About the Item

Designed by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia in 1972, the iconic Bibambola two-seater sofa belongs to the celebrated Le Bambole collection, one of the most recognizable expressions of 20th-century Italian furniture design. The series is distinguished by its generous, sculptural volumes and its visual absence of a conventional rigid supporting structure, creating an exceptionally soft and enveloping silhouette. This example has been newly upholstered in an elegant pink Toile de Jouy fabric, featuring finely illustrated pastoral scenes with figures, vegetation, architecture and animals. The traditional monochromatic pattern has been further customized with individually hand-embroidered colorful birds, carefully distributed throughout the upholstery. These vibrant embroidered details create a playful contemporary contrast with the classical Toile de Jouy design, making the fabric, and consequently the sofa, a unique and highly decorative piece. Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage. Every piece design of LA Studio or new production as they are made with natural materials or made by artisans they may vary in wood color, marble color or wood grain, etc. Take into account that the colors on the furniture may vary depending on the type of lighting and the type of screen from which you see the images.
