One single tripod stool (from a set of 5 pieces available on sale) Mid-Century Modern, Modernist, Rustic Modern, Brutalist, massive Mahogany tripod structure with thick circular top, handcrafter by anonymous french craftsmen, to be attributed, France 1950. This single piece belongs to an original set of 5 pieces, all available on sale independently from this listing. Each piece comes along with a warm and brutal roughly handmade feel, including patinas, chips and cracks, on a massive mahogany dark brown red texture, combining the rural roughness with the thin patterns of precious wood, revealing the spirit of post-war french design in the deep countryside... This piece can be used as a stool, but also as a side table allowing to present a tray, a vase, a sculpture or a lamp... Height : 42 cm Top diameter : 23 cm Base diameter : 25 cm CONDITION: In original vintage condition. Wear, scratches, cracks, deformation, traces, patina of use on all surfaces. This is a great example of the interpretation of modern design by french traditional countryside craftsmen over the 50s and 60s, applying modern lines on ancestral materials and techniques.
