About the Item

Antropología bench by Raúl de la Cerda Dimensions: D 40 x W 120 x H 40 cm Materials: oak wood, Negro Monterrey marble. Solid holm white oak with negro Monterrey marble bench. Raul de la Cerda is an interdisciplinary designer originally from Mexico City, trained in Mexico, Paris and Madrid. Since 2016 Raul has directed his design studio RAUL DE LA CERDA ESTUDIO, as well as being the creative director of Artelinea. Raul's work goes back to the origin of the materials he uses the most: wood, stone and metal. He does not hide his designs under indirect layers, but reduces them to their essence. His inspiration is life, his continuous curiosity about things, travel, art, his family, the people around him, his country; Mexico, its history and the passion and desire to have to do different things. BREUER is a company specializing in the design and manufacture of custom furniture and spaces, which began in 1993 in Mexico City under the direction of Arturo Verástegui. Since the beginning of the nineties Arturo Verástegui, founder of the company, began his career in the world of furniture: beginning with the distribution and manufacture of residential furniture and with more than a decade of experience in commercial furniture, BREUER was born with a strong industrial and trade vocation. That is only one part of our history, the other began almost 100 years ago with the architect and designer Marcel Breuer, from whom our name arises. But it is not only the name that we take from Marcel Breuer, but also his modernist ideals and the desire to implement the latest in manufacturing technology is his designs.
