About the Item

A mid 19th century Italian milking stool. So called as it resembles the lower stools used for milking cows. This particular type was used as a indoor stool with a higher seat and particular nicely proportioned. In a later period these stools were picked up by the brutalist movement and still maked today as typical rustic seating. Great sturdy multifunctional seat with timeless design. Plus the extra of a beautiful patina.
