Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely original light Walnut ornately hand carved Victorian Piano stool depicting Mermaids clasping to large seashells Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price A very decorative and well made piece, the top has a period Victorian embroidery of flowers which is sublime, the legs are long elegant cabriolet which have been ornately hand carved depicting mermaids as mentioned, I've never seen another stool like this in all my years, the timber appears to be bleached light Walnut, its a very hard wood I was a little stumped on the age as the base of the feet is an 18th century design circa 1760 but I think they are just inspired by and the piece is mid Victorian Condition wise, it has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished, the frame is solid and stable Dimensions Height:- 51cm Width:- 58cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
