About the Item

Scandinavian/Finnish Modern stools from the 1950's, manufactured by Oy Kylmäkoski Ab. These stools/footstools went by name "Kätevä" which translates to Handy. These stools have been totally restored, the finishes on the wooden parts are new as well with the fabric. Reupholstery is done with beautiful woolen muted pink tone fabric by Kvadrat. The muted pink fabric suits these symphathetic furnitures and brings out the elegant design of these pieces. Some of the legs are made of flame birch, which is considered a true finnish precious wood. Personally we love the timeless and elegant design of these furniture, they're such a joy for the eye! The buttons on these stool make it look like theres a Moomin characters face on the seat. Its easy to see these furniture being in the entryway of your appartment, its hard to be on bad mood when this is the first thing you see once entering your appartment. The color palette and design of these stools makes them a true centerpiece of any room you decide to locate this in. These stools will be sold as a pair, the price is for both of these.
