About the Item

Set of three “Hobb“ stools designed by Mary Featherstone, circa 1970s. Along with her husband Grant Featherstone, the two were considered the premier furniture and product designers in Australia for much of the 20th century. Much like their peers Ray and Charles Eames of America, Robin and Lucienne Day of Great Britain, Massimo and Lella Vignelli of Italy or many of the countless husband and wife teams across Europe, they encouraged and inspired each other to achieve timeless designs. Constructed of saddle tanned leather with buckled straps over original ebonized frames.
