About the Item

Designed by Joe Colombo in the 1960s, the Elda chair has become one of the defining icons of Italian Space Age design. Named after Colombo's wife, Elda, the chair combines bold sculptural form with exceptional comfort, earning a place in museum collections and appearing in numerous films and television productions, including The Incredibles and The Hunger Games. Each chair features a moulded fibreglass shell upholstered in thick white leather, supported by a concealed swivel pedestal base that allows smooth rotation. The generously padded segmented cushions create a cocooning seating experience while emphasising the chair's distinctive futuristic silhouette. Highly sought after by collectors and interior designers alike, this matching pair offers both striking visual impact and outstanding comfort, making them equally suited to contemporary and mid-century interiors.
