A fine Asian hardwood storage chest with elaborate brass metalwork, including large interior hinges and corner supports, two brass side handles, a large decorative lock, and round brass panel decoration. Includes an interior till. The chest dates to the 18th or 19th century and is in very good overall condition, with some top oil staining, minor shrinkage along the top rim left side, and other surface imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 23 in H x 52 in W x 24.5 in D. Ref: 8
