About the Item

The Loico Carrara Marble Bookcase by Angelo Mangiarotti is a stunning testament to his genius in merging architecture, sculpture, and functional design. Mangiarotti, a celebrated Italian architect and designer, was known for his ability to elevate everyday objects into timeless works of art through careful attention to material, proportion, and form. Crafted from luxurious Carrara marble, this bookcase showcases his signature minimalist aesthetic, with clean lines and geometric precision that highlight the natural beauty and veining of the stone. Beyond its striking visual appeal, the Loico Bookcase is designed with thoughtful functionality, offering structural integrity and versatile storage while maintaining a sculptural elegance. Each shelf and surface reflects Mangiarotti’s philosophy of “honest design,” where the inherent qualities of materials guide the form. This piece is not only a practical furniture object but also a collectible artwork, embodying the enduring sophistication and innovation that define Mangiarotti’s legacy in contemporary design. Its presence transforms any space into one of refinement, demonstrating how functional objects can also be expressions of architectural artistry.
