About the Item

This sculptural bookcase is handcrafted in Portugal and combines walnut wood shelves with a brushed brass structure. Designed by Joao Faria, the bookcase reflects his approach to contemporary furniture, where architectural structure, carefully selected materials, and sculptural form come together in a functional piece. This listing is for a showroom sample offered as part of a special showroom clearance, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire this piece at a special price. The bookcase was used exclusively for display in the Emotional Objects showroom in Portugal and has never been used in a residential or commercial setting. The large bookcase measures 65 × 235 × 215 cm (25.6 × 92.5 × 84.6 in). Its generous proportions suit larger interiors, where the open shelving provides both functional storage and a strong architectural presence. The walnut shelves are in perfect condition. The brushed brass structure has minor scratches and marks resulting from showroom display, as clearly shown and highlighted in red in the photographs. Additional photographs or videos are available upon request. The bookcase is entirely made in Portugal, with each stage of production carefully executed or supervised by Joao Faria in a small workshop environment. The combination of natural walnut and brushed brass highlights the handcrafted character of the piece while giving it a refined contemporary presence. The bookcase is delivered assembled. Due to its size and weight, it will be securely packed for transportation in a protective wooden box with bubble wrap. The wooden box is not included in the listed price. Designed and manufactured in Portugal by Joao Faria for Emotional Objects. Condition: Excellent. This showroom sample was used exclusively for display and has never been used in a residential or commercial setting. The walnut shelves are in perfect condition.
