An early 20th century faux bamboo painted bookcase or low console cabinet, executed in wood with turned bamboo-form corner posts and applied molded trim. The façade is framed by rounded vertical supports carved to simulate bamboo nodes, echoed along the top and lower rails in matching detail. The cabinet is finished in a warm yellow paint with black line accents to the top surface, giving subtle definition to the rectangular field. The interior retains a fixed central shelf, offering practical storage for books, decorative objects, or media components. Its shallow depth of 11 inches makes it especially versatile — ideal for entryways, hallways, or behind seating where space is limited.
