About the Item

An impressive black lacquered wooden cabinet made in France in the 1930’s. Features a very elegant curved shape with bronze gilded finishes. Attributed to André Arbus due to the signature style elements, impeccable craftsmanship and eye for details in this piece. Similar cabinets can be found in the following literature: ‘andre arbus- architecte- de´corateur des anne´es 40, yvonne brunhammer, norma editions’ The cabinet remains in original condition. Lacquer overall in good condition with occasional bumps and scuffs. Some discoloration on the left under side (see photo’s). Original key and lock fully working.
