Cabinet designed by Färg & Blanche manufactured by BD Barcelona. Manufactured in natural ash wood or stained in black. Structure in anodic black lacquered steel. The doors carry simple patterns made using the Wood TailoringTM technique. Blue thread is applied stained black finish. Materials: Sideboard in stained black. Structure in anodic black lacquered steel. Available in natural ash. Dimensions: D 180 cm x W 39 cm x H 67 cm D 71 in x W 15.3 in x H 26.3 in About the designers: Fredrik Färg and Emma Marga Blanche are a young couple of designers (with Swedish and French origins respectively) who sum up personality, technique and innovation. They have been developing a technique for various years in their Stockholm based studio, bapitising and registering it as Wood TailoringTM, which includes the use of sewing machines directly over hard materials like wood. The created patterns carry an aesthetic value and offer surprising and suggestive results much the same as the Couture armchair. Using the same technique which requires much artisanal ability, Färg & Blanche have also launched a very functional cabinet with simple decorations. About BD Barcelona: Accompanied with artisanal processes instead of mass production, their products always have more proximity to art than industrial design. Characterised by superior quality, short-series productions (and on occasion limited editions), and unique pieces due to crafted manufacturing. In the 70s, BD pleasantly surprised by editing Gaudí’s furniture for his famous buildings and in the early 90s, BD again astounded by introducing an exclusive first collection of furniture and lamps designed by Dalí. Recently the collections and designers with an accentuated artistic profile like Jaime Hayon and Doshi Levien, continue to point the way where design and art meet together. Design meets Art, since 1972.
