About the Item

A beautifully decorated hand painted five drawer carved semainier with floral painted drawer fronts and top, pierce carved foliate crest, side cartouches of various female figures, all with relief carved scrollwork, and painted panel back, all supported by four short cabriole legs. This semainier dates to the 19th century and is in good overall condition, with some visible shrinkage cracks, paint losses, edge losses, old repairs, lifting paint and other imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. The carved drawer pulls all have losses. Dimensions: 50.5 in H x 14.5 in W x 11 in D. Ref: 8
