About the Item

Antique Georgian (1860) Mahogany Chest Of Drawers. Made in England. This is a unique design with four graduating drawers which each have the most beautiful contrasting zebra wood (Lignum Vitae) drawer handles. Handsome wide and low proportions with details such as the turned faux bamboo edges and shapely handcarved legs. This antique chest of drawers is in a fine quality and made with a solid wood panel back. Later old fixes are present throughout, such as the patchwork around the key holes, adding to the unique antique charm of this piece. Good solid structural condition. Notes: A piece of wood missing above the front right foot. There is a U shaped dark mark on the top drawer. there are later patches around the key holes. The top drawer is ink splattered.
