About the Item

A fine example of a Charles II enclosed chest of drawers in oak, with a rectangular top with dentil molding surmounting a case with two long drawers with raised panel fronts over two blind doors with raised cross panels, opening to three fitted drawers with newer brass ring pulls, flanked with raised carved baton corner decoration, paneled sides, all supported on four short block feet. Dates to the early to mid 18th century in very good overall condition, with minor edge losses and old repairs & restorations, and wear commensurate with age and use. Has retained most of its original hardware, with some lock losses. Dimensions: 45 in H x 46.5 in W x 24.25 in D. Ref: 787
