About the Item

A Queen Anne style lowboy in mahogany, made by Hickory Chair Company. Two dovetailed drawers open with bail handles on pierced bat shaped back plates in brass. The serpentine skirt is decorated with a scallop shell applique, and restrained cabriole legs carved with c-scrolls finish with pad feet. Maker's mark can be seen inside the top drawer.
