About the Item

A Louis XV kingwood commode of a good color and patina: attractive serpentine and bombe shape, original mounts still retaining most of their gilding, original Saint-Anne Grand Dessin grey marble top, corner re-stuck but hardly visible. Very fine work with intricate geometric inlays, herring-bone crossbanding and stringing in boxwood and amaranth. Please note, this piece requires a CITES certificate for shipping to US. We have found a good shipper for CITES items and recently had a quote by air of about £1650 plus 1% insurance, transit about 4-5 weeks.
