About the Item

*An English Victorian waxed pine dresser base with 6 drawers and a center door. c. 1860. *Beautiful warm color on this dresser base. *A shallow platform top with moulded edge over a recessed central paneled cupboard enclosing a single shelf, with a later bakelite handle, flanked by six graduated drawers with turned ebony handles, on turned bun feet. *There is dovetail construction on the drawers. There are also old nails with rust around them, which shows age. You can also see white filler where old nails used to be. *Please note that pine is a soft wood and it shows scratches and dents and coloration changes, especially where the knots are located. As expected for a piece of furniture that is 150+ years old, there will be signs of age.

    Wear consistent with age and use. I didn't do any work to this piece but wax it. At some point, the knobs were replaced. There are scratches at the bottom of the drawer. And, the old nails have rust around them. (See lots of photos.).
