About the Item

Italian cabinet in walnut, brass and ribbed glass, 1930s. This refined sideboard reflects the sophisticated transition between late Italian Deco and early modernist design. The composition is defined by a balanced architectural structure, combining geometric veneer work, ribbed glass doors, and finely detailed metal hardware. The cabinet is distinguished by the elegant contrast between the richly patterned lower doors and the more restrained upper section, where textured glass and clean lines create a subtle interplay of light and surface. Brass details and sculptural hinges further emphasize the high level of craftsmanship throughout the piece. Particularly notable is the continuous curved base, which gives the sideboard a sense of visual lightness despite its solid proportions. The interior retains a remarkably pure and functional character, in dialogue with the more decorative treatment of the exterior.
