Enjoy! 😁 Crafted by Century Furniture in the United States during the 1960s, this handsome credenza reflects the clean proportions and understated sophistication associated with Mid-Century Modern design. Constructed in walnut, the case showcases the natural warmth and expressive grain of the wood, complemented by streamlined metal pulls that add a subtle architectural accent. Its long, low profile provides generous storage while maintaining a refined silhouette that works beautifully in a dining room, living space, or office. The piece has been expertly refinished by our restoration studio, carefully revitalizing the walnut while preserving the character and craftsmanship of the original construction. Both functional and visually balanced, this vintage Century Furniture credenza is an excellent example of quality American casegoods from the mid-20th century. Fun Historical Fact Century Furniture was founded by Harley Ferguson Shuford Sr. in 1947, with its first casegoods factory established in Hickory, North Carolina the following year. During the 1950s and 1960s, Century expanded substantially, including the establishment of its dedicated chair division in 1964. Designer Raymond K. Sobota joined Century in 1952 and helped establish the company as an important American style leader through collections that remained influential for decades. Today, vintage Century casegoods from this era remain particularly appealing for their combination of American manufacturing, substantial construction, and timeless mid-century proportions.
