About the Item

A rare and exceptionally beautiful early 19th Century French Louis XV style four door pine armoire. In remnants of the original paint. Two full height panelled doors sit below a bold arched cornice and enclose a fitted buffet and shelving. A further two curved doors wrap around the barrel-ended cupboard enclosing shelving. The whole sits on a plinth base. This is one of the most simple, elegant and refined pieces of such scale we have seen. A true statement piece.
