About the Item

English, circa early 1800's. An exceptional and rare 19th century mahogany lap desk inlaid with impressive arrays of sunbursts to the corners and central sun form motif. These motifs have showed up on some of the best English pieces of furniture made. This desk also holds red leather interior and a hidden single drawer to the side. Original brass fitted handles present too.
