About the Item

A 20th-century vintage desk from the 1930s of Sheraton Revival style, drawing inspiration from the renowned British furniture designer Thomas Sheraton of the late 18th century. Sheraton's legacy was marked by refined craftsmanship and influences from the neoclassical era. This desk is a beautiful reproduction of this specific historical style. In furniture terminology, 'Bonheur du jour' signifies a ladies' writing table with small cabinets and a writing surface. Adorned with brown leather tabletop, this piece features a spacious drawer and beautiful brass detailing throughout. Its design includes a central curved letter rack along with two inkwells, reflecting the traditional charm of writing implements. Meticulously restored at our atelier. ------------------- We are an exhibition space and an online destination established by the passionate art director behind Jonathan Amar Studio. Our gallery presents a harmonious mix of iconic and engaging 20th-century pieces and bespoke contemporary lighting. With a strong focus on Italian mid-century designs, his success strives from sourcing designs with striking shapes, creative techniques, and interesting materials that cross the concept of time in the same way a Spirit does.  All our pieces are expertly restored at our atelier and we only offer items that will last another lifetime. Our 350 square meter workspace includes a luminous gallery, a restoration atelier where our expert artisans in metalwork, woodwork, upholstery, and electrics; restore each piece with the mission to honour a balance between restoration and preservation. There may be light age-related wear but no hard damages or structural issues.  Since the launch of our gallery in late 2017, we have exported over 1200 items to buyers in 21 countries located in all four corners of the world from Europe and North America to Asia and Australia. In the United States alone, we have ensured the delivery of over 150 pieces of all sizes (from massive dining tables to small decorative objects) in 23 states. We take the utmost attention to our packaging by building robust made-to-measure boxes in our atelier with the aim of providing safe and cost-effective delivery prices for every client. Most deliveries arrive smoothly in less than 8 days. We are located both in Paris and Rabat. FYI the Morocco Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) went into effect on January 1, 2006.
