Enjoy! 😁 Designed and produced by Lane in Altavista, Virginia during the 1960s, this three-drawer dresser brings the warmth and simplicity of American Mid-Century Modern design into an especially versatile size. Rich walnut grain runs across the clean drawer fronts, while the sculpted horizontal pulls and tapered legs give the piece just enough detail to feel distinctive without losing its understated character. Its compact proportions make it an easy fit in a bedroom, guest room, entryway, or even beside a bed, with three generous drawers providing practical everyday storage. Expertly refinished in our Los Angeles restoration studio, the dresser was carefully gone through inside and out, including the structure, joinery, drawer operation, and overall functionality, so it is sturdy, smooth-running, and ready to be enjoyed for years to come. The refreshed walnut finish highlights the natural variation of the wood while preserving the timeless character that has made Lane furniture so desirable among collectors of American modern design. Fun Historical Fact Lane began manufacturing furniture in Altavista, Virginia in the early 20th century and eventually became one of the best-known names in American furniture production. During the 1950s and 1960s, the company embraced modern design with streamlined case pieces, expressive wood grain, sculpted details, and an emphasis on functional storage. Lane’s use of walnut and carefully constructed drawer systems helped give its bedroom furniture the warm, substantial quality that still appeals to collectors today. The original Lane marking inside this dresser connects the piece directly to the company’s Altavista manufacturing history and serves as a wonderful reminder of an important era in American furniture design.
