About the Item

An extraordinary and rare Mid-Century wall-mounted teak console, exquisitely crafted and evocative of the visionary work of Italian designer Ico Parisi. Strikingly sculptural and highly functional, this dramatic piece bridges the line between furniture and art. The console comprises two distinct yet harmonized components: a rounded conical base with integrated circular storage, and a longer pontoon-shaped piece featuring multiple built-in compartments with slide-open doors, small round lidded compartments, divided storage, and a larger flip-top portion, revealing a space big enough for a record player. The piece is wall mounted and stabilized by black enameled steel support rods with adjustable-height brass feet—a refined touch that heightens the contrast between materials. The interior of the cabinet is finished in a soft cream tone, offering a warm, clean backdrop that enhances both visibility and visual appeal—perfect for use as a bar or for display. Its flowing silhouette reads almost like a line drawing rendered in three dimensions. The interplay of form—both solid and open—echoes Parisi’s architectural approach to furniture, marrying organic curves with bold structure. The teak construction showcases fine Italian craftsmanship, with beautiful grain, expertly joined seams, and thoughtful proportions throughout. Equally suited as a console or wall-mounted bar, this is a one-of-a-kind statement piece. We've truly never encountered another quite like it.
