About the Item

Late 18th Century Blue Swedish Oak Secretary Bureau Late 18th-century Swedish oak secretary bureau featuring a tall, elegant form with a graceful carved curved crown and three large lower drawers. The upper cabinet opens with a functioning key to reveal interior drawers, while the sloped desktop lowers onto two extending arms, exposing traditional petite drawers and storage compartments. The lower drawers open with two brass pulls each. The oak structure shows age-related cracks, separations, stains, and surface wear across panels, sides, and back. A newer professionally applied layered blue painted finish is lightly distressed, revealing oak beneath and creating depth through visible layers and mottled finish. Built in multiple sections for easier transportation and installation. Restored strong, stable, and ready for use. Old repairs and age-related separations seen along back. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
