This elegant English Adam style two-tier dessert table, dating from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century, is a masterful expression of refined Neoclassical design. Crafted from beautifully figured mahogany and richly decorated with hand-painted ornament and delicate inlaid details, the table reflects the graceful aesthetic popularized by the celebrated architect and designer Robert Adam during the late eighteenth century. The table's most distinctive feature is its unusual two-tier construction.
