About the Item

Stylish Regency mahogany centre/ breakfast table in the neo-classical manner. the mahogany is fabulous quality and the top is laid well figured green leather top, with rounded corners and a carved moulded edge, above a shallow frieze holding two drawers; raised on two pedestals with gadroon carvings. The well figured platform base, with concave sides ending in roundels raised on turned and gadrooned moulded bun feet. English circa 1820s. The green leather top is in good antique condition with a few small marks. This large versatile handsome table could be used as a centre table, side table, breakfast table or desk, depending on the room and required function.
