About the Item

English 19th century farmhouse (dining) table, recently adapted for use as a coffee table to recontextualize the familiarity of a rustic farm table, placing that sense of warmth & welcome in a living area. Handmade from pine and beech, the planks of the top have been scrubbed smooth to reveal pale yellow grain in gentle patterns and texture. The frame is stained in a medium-brown walnut tone for slight contrast, dotted with the heads of square peg joinery that confirms the age. Within the apron is a rather wide drawer for convenient but out of sight storage, opened by a small turned knob. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique occasional table is ready for its new home. Be sure to view the detailed images to see the current condition. Apron height: 15”
