About the Item

A beautiful antique Spanish coffee table with a warm brown color, deep gloss and a richly aged patina. The table has a strong, sober and architectural appearance, typical of traditional Spanish country furniture. Its long rectangular form, simple square legs and restrained drawer front give the piece a timeless and very decorative character. The top is made from two wide solid wooden planks and has a thickness of approximately 1.10 inch. The surface shows a wonderful old character with visible marks of use, small dents, old scratches and natural wear, all contributing to the authentic antique appearance of the table. The wood has developed a deep brown tone with subtle variations in color and grain. The front is fitted with two practical drawers, each with a simple wooden knob as a drawer pull. The drawer fronts are slightly framed, giving depth and refinement to the otherwise sober design. The sides and back are plain and solidly constructed, with the same warm aged surface and natural signs of use. This type of table fits well within the tradition of Spanish rustic and provincial furniture, where strong construction, simple lines and honest use of solid wood were more important than excessive decoration. Its low proportions make it very suitable as a coffee table in both classic and contemporary interiors. The table has been cleaned in our workshop and is ready for use. It retains its antique character, including visible marks of age and use, which form an important part of its charm and authenticity. Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. The table shows old marks, scratches, dents, irregularities and patina throughout, as visible in the photos. These elements are considered part of the character of the piece.
