About the Item

A high quality and most decorative English 19th century Japanese Lacquer and Gilt coffee table. This elegant table is raised by four cabriole legs with Gilt outer edges, which follow the scalloped frieze. The top of each leg is decorated with Gilt designs of bamboo foliage and flowers. The top displays a most beautiful recessed central panel of a colorful Japanese Lacquer scene of foliate branches with perched lovebirds amidst butterflies. The panel is surrounded by a raised border with additional Gilt floral designs. Wonderfully chic and extremely decorative.
