About the Item

Always a popular motive for furniture and light fixtures this wheat sheaf coffee table distinguishes itself from the vast majority of Hollywood Regency examples through its rather substantial size and weight. Beautifully crafted, the table base is made from gilded ceramic and most likely hails from Italy in the 1960's - we actually acquired it in the Austrian Alps on a trip to Italy. The table is in very good condition and has acquired a delightful patina over the years, while the gilt still shines through. There are some very minor chips and scratches where the ceramic shows under close inspection. The underside shows some scratches. Please refer to photos. Agrarian in appearance and full of old world character and charm, this coffee table will make a great addition to any country home, lodge or chalet! PLEASE NOTE: GLASS TOP NOT INCLUDED. To keep shipping costs down (and to avoid breakage) the glass top is not included. You can easily buy a glass top locally from your glazer or purchase a suitable top online. we would recommend going with a smoked glass top as depicted in our photos.
