About the Item

A French mid-century coffee table combining a sculptural gilded wrought iron base with a substantial stone top. The rectangular top is formed from a slab of pale onyx, displaying soft tonal variations and natural veining across the surface. Its gently rounded edges contrast with the more rugged character of the base beneath. The base is crafted from iron with a textured, lightly gilded finish that gives the piece a warm, aged patina. The legs are constructed from substantial vertical supports with visible rivet detailing, connected by curved stretchers that introduce a sense of movement and balance to the design. These sweeping iron elements create an elegant structural framework while also reinforcing the table.
