About the Item

Pair of 1950's Italian interlocking jigsaw puzzle form cocktail tables in organic asymmetric mahogany tops raised on three distinctively structured flat bar solid brass legs joined by stretchers. Each is 15.5 inches high by 45.5 inches wide bv 17 inches deep. These were produced by La Permanente Mobili di Cantù, the trade body for furniture-makers in the northern city, who were renowned for their experimental and avant-garde products. The designer is not known but I suspect it may have been Eugenia Alberti Reggio and Rinaldo Scaioli who designed a bench with very similar brass legs that was also produced by La Permanamente Mobile Cantu (see last image).
