About the Item

Maison Lecan presents this solid cedar coffee table from the 1970s, cut directly from the tree. The slab top with generously rounded edges and free-form contours rests on a full trunk kept in its raw state — visible knots, time-sculpted surface, dense and living material. No construction, no assembly: two pieces of solid wood, one resting on the other. The cedar reveals an exceptional range of tones on the surface — light blonde, powdery pink, rosy and ochre veins that blend according to the light. The visible knots and grain variations make every centimetre a different reading of the wood. A unique piece, impossible to reproduce identically. At 102 cm in length and a height of 54 cm — generous for a coffee table — it naturally asserts itself at the centre of a living room. Approximately 60 kg.
