About the Item

A striking example of Danish Modern craftsmanship, this rare coffee table was designed by the renowned duo Tue Poulsen and Erik Wørts and produced by Willy Beck in Denmark during the 1960s. The piece embodies the Scandinavian ideal of combining artistic expression with everyday functionality, resulting in a design that is both practical and visually captivating. Crafted from solid wengé, the table features a robust architectural frame distinguished by clean lines, balanced proportions, and exceptional attention to detail. The dark richness of the wood is elegantly complemented by refined brass-capped feet, adding a subtle touch of warmth and sophistication. The tabletop is composed of individually hand-glazed ceramic tiles created by Tue Poulsen.
