About the Item

18th Century Italian giltwood corner console table with serpentine front and a marble top.  The base is boldly carved with scroll and leaves, with flower rose heads on the knees. The bracket connecting the legs also heavily carved with scrolls and a rosette in the centre. A very good warm water gilding with wear in places relative to age but structurally sound. A generously thick marble top with a simple mould with rounded pencil edge. Circa 1760.
