About the Item

Erosion console Interested in the movement of pebbles along the Channel coast and the inconstancy of their shape as they travel, Alexandre Labruyère transcribes their movement with his Erosion console from the eponymous series. He reveals the essence of oak or ash in this piece by stressing lines to translate the effects of time on the wood. The designer reveals the unique character of the material by working it according to its grain, producing a sculptural object that is anchored to the ground like a cliff. 10 to 12 weeks lead time. A certificate of authenticity is issued by the gallery Numbered edition. Signed by the artist. About the designer Alexandre Labruyère is a designer of bespoke furniture and decorative objects. He lives and works in Lille (France). He is inspired by his many travels and encounters to imagine, design and manufacture furniture and decorative objects. Initially trained in industrial design, he has explored many fields of object design (transportation, art direction luggage, etc.) this has enabled him to expand his taste for materials, and his skills in using them. After several years in a large industrial sports company, he trained in 2019 at École Boulle in Paris, to become a furniture maker. In 2023 and 2026, Alexandre Labruyère entered the collections of the Mobilier National with his Géridon table and then his Pétiole chair. He is the 2024 winner of the FD100 by French Design award.
