About the Item

A French midcentury serving table featuring a black top depicting a hunting scene on second tier; the whole raised on slender tapering satin nickel metal legs with a hammered pattern. The stretcher shelf is inspired by Toile, a French word meaning "linen cloth" or "canvas" usually printed on fabric with repetitive surface decoration. The scene on the shelf represents an equestrian scene with riders, riding helmets, horses, a landscape and forest with hounds, dogs running, a large stag, a stream, foliage, trees, a bridge, cottage, a chariot, plow, and a horse and buggy. This console table is quite versatile and can also be used as a plant stand, tea table, carts and bar carts, center table, end table, farm table, industrial and work tables, book shelf, pedestal, serving table, side table, sofa table or tray table.
